On our first African stop in Zanzibar, we stayed at Chuini Zanzibar Beach Lodge, and it was nothing short of breathtaking. Set on the coast at Bububu, this lodge is built on the ruins of a Sultan’s palace, blending history, luxury, and ocean views in one stunning retreat.
The rooms were beautifully appointed, private, and comfortable, with modern amenities, while the lodge’s grounds offered peaceful walks, palm-fringed views, and two outdoor pools to unwind in.
Dining at Chuini was outstanding, meals overlooking the Indian Ocean, elevated by local flavors and exceptional service. The team there went above and beyond, making every stay feel personal.
Chuini is more than just a place to rest, it’s a destination in itself. If you ever find yourself in Zanzibar, this lodge should be on your must-stay list.
