Hezen Cave Hotel

Country number nineteen on our 52 countries in 52 weeks adventure was Turkey, and staying at Hezen Cave Hotel in Cappadocia was unreal. The hotel is literally built into authentic caves in Ortahisar, and it feels like stepping into a dream. Our room was cozy, modern, and had that perfect cave charm, you can’t beat that view of Ortahisar Castle from the terrace.

The food at the hotel was incredible, homemade and rich in flavor, and the staff made everything effortless, from booking tours to guiding us around the area. Waking up there and seeing hot air balloons drifting across the valley, pure magic. It’s hands down one of the most unique stays we’ve ever had. If you’re heading to Cappadocia, this is the spot.
