Country Number Fifteen
Country number fifteen on our Great Global Adventure, 52 countries in 52 weeks, was Spain, and Barcelona did not disappoint. From incredible architecture to world-class food and wine, it was a feast for all the senses.

An Airbnb to Remember
We stayed in one of the most incredible Airbnbs in the world, set up by the team at Cloud5. This designer property was an architectural masterpiece, perched on a hill in Cabrilles with breathtaking views and a stunning pool. It was the perfect home base for exploring Barcelona and beyond.

Tasting the City
Our first adventure was the Secret Food Tour from SecretFoodTours.com. The experience was unbelievable, our guide took us to a pastry shop before it even opened, a hidden market for tapas in a private room, and then to the beach for a spectacular lunch. It’s hands down one of the best ways to see and taste a city.

Montserrat and Sushi
Next, we rode the gondola up to Montserrat, famous for its basilica and the city carved into the mountain itself,a must-do for any visitor. Later, we indulged at Yuro Sushi, experiencing one of the best Omakase meals in the world. Every bite was perfection.

Viladellops Vineyard
The highlight of the trip came with a private tour of Villadellops Vineyard, a family-owned vineyard and town. Our guide took us on a thrilling Land Rover tour, sharing the rich history of the vineyard and the family behind it. The wine was spectacular, but the stories, the personal touches, and the views made this an unforgettable experience.

Reflections on Spain
Spain delivered in every way, from stunning design and epic food to breathtaking scenery and warm hospitality. Barcelona will stay in our hearts as a truly special stop on the Great Global Adventure. Up next: country number sixteen, France.
